Rising Voices season 3

At Indeed, we know that talent is universal but opportunity is not. With momentum from the success of Rising Voices seasons 1 and 2, season 3 continues to make a big impact. The program has already created over 1,500 jobs so far for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) writers, directors, producers, crew, actors, and others working in the filmmaking industry. Rising Voices is a collaboration between Indeed, Lena Waithe, and Hillman Grad Productions, and grants $100,000 to ten aspiring directors, plus mentorship from established film professionals. This season’s films premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival, three will also be screened at the Toronto Film Festival, and four at the Lesbians Who Tech summit. The final ten films from season 3 will also be shown in select theaters before Blue Beetle, Barbie and Joy Ride, and will be eligible for Oscar nominations. That’s kind of a big deal!
